Beside Still Waters

As of October 2024, there should be no doubt we are in "The Last Days". Economic , social, and personal uncertainty are at record levels. Individuals and families are questioning their survivability in navigating societal challenges. Many are experiencing a heightened sense of 'helplessness' in formulating a favorable response plan.

Jesus reminded his audience that Noah reminded his audience that a time of reckoning approaches. Watchers over the souls of men must watch and warn!

The world has fast become a cauldron of tension:
-The Middle East war is on the brink of escalation
-Nations are polarized over personal freedoms & immigration policies
-Violence is escalating beyond public safety control
-Pandemics portend greater negative global impacts
and a myriad of events that are converging and pointing to the next God-ordained event: The removal of the Holy Spirit from the earth (2 Thess. 2:5-8).

The Abigail - David encounter in 1 Samuel 25 is a textbook model of being used of God to help (a believer) remain in the will of God.

David, after being a victim of a wrath-triggering experience, was skillfully moved by this woman to remain in God's will as it pertained to his life and service. 

Christ is the Christian’s character. Are we constrained to have stunted spiritual growth - being the same as we were a month ago, a year ago? Five years ago? No! Character is malleable. God wants us to grow, the Spirit compels growth, and we should never settle for ”just enough”. ”Be filled with the Spirit” is the divine mandate.

As the "Days of Noah" have arrived, we are to be ready for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. For the Christian, it portends glory! For the remaining souls, certain judgment. Live ready. . .

We are in "The Last Days". This is not subject to debate. Pandemics, societal anarchy, new social-relational aberrations, upsurge of 'New Age' religious practices, unbounded immorality, biblical spiritual decline . . .  Jesus, the Christ, was clear in his warning that "as it was in the day of Noah, so also shall be the coming of the Son of Man . . . until the day on which Noah entered the ark"  (Mt. 24:37-39). This podcast is an exhortation for Christians to live in readiness for that day. We embrace Christ's warning of end-time prophetic events while seeking to maintain a closer walk with God in uncertain times.

The critical truth showing how God is influenced to be strong on your behalf and impact mankind was given by Jesus, the Christ in Mathew's Gospel, 17:14-21. He identified prayer and fasting as the only to make a Christian influential for the kingdom God, man's good, and holy in a pagan world.

People often ask me: "What do I gain if I pursue God with all I've got?" The greatest prize, gift, benefit, or outcome . . . is God Himself

Is pleasing God an impossible task? It is written, ". . . without faith, it is impossible to please Him (God) for he that comes to God must believe that He is . . .". Pleasing God begins with a clear acknowledgment that He exists, and He awaits the evidence of a willing, obedient life.
